Folks, a seven year toast. Our first mission, our first kill, our first losses. All together. Though our contracts have changed and our ways have become different, I still look fondly on those days raining thunder from the skies.
Sukhoi did a mass update, if you didn't notice. We even have a lock now.
Also, fist of the new missions (e.g. not ours) is up. Hopefully we're not too far from flying out.
Also, Also, I'd like to reboot the discussion on flight paint scheme so we can look pretty for the handbook too.
Submittance time is 0000 gmt 11JAN, which is about 10 hours away. I'll try for it, but if one of you can be on standby, that would be excellent and an easy 400 cr.
Also, Rupert and I are looking for a couple more officers for the Rough Rider Dirt and Mercs group. If any of you would like to get in on it, I'm sure you're more than welcome.
We cover our recovery of the bomb by selling an all out attack on their airfield. Essentially, we make it look like we're trying to "finish the job" by taking out some of the SAM network over the airfield and attempting to assert air superiority as the Griffins Strike asset flies in. With any luck, we might be able to get their attention away from the recovery effort.
This is dependent on our ability to quickly destroy any ships near the recovery area. The IDS brings Exocets, the Phantom can help with Shrikes if needed, but this is mainly in Griffin's control.
Hammer/Grizzly are both proficient with the F-4D and have the ability to reroll attacks. As such, I've loaded them to focus on SEAD ops.
Doc and I are to focus on covering their approach, Rupes/Donovan will join us once they've released their Exocets.
Fossil flies the Griffin bird. The insertion/skyhook will be up to him.
Until then, this is the plan I intend to send to Sukhoi, there's been a bit of a shift in ideas, so allow me to explain.

On a positive note, we would be able to have two rounds of upgrading before the next, next mission. So, any birds we buy now could be upgraded very nicely before then.
Let's make sure we get that far.
Please do not share/reveal to others. I haven't even sent it up to Sukhoi yet, just looking for a little commentary and input before attempting to make it official.
