Hey guys, just a quick question..
what happened to Altis Tales? i used to play there until exile went out (played on epoch)
i can see that the name of the server was changed to Element 83, but cannot find it in A3 launcher

Just a little update on the new server...

It's being a bit of a pain!

Battleye is conflicting with, well, virtually everything and is kicking players!

We also need to make sure the AI doesn't start fighting with itself, zombies attacking AI missions would be fun at first but not in the long run!

So the server is still locked for the general public, you can get the password from us on TS but it's kicking people until we get the battleye fixed. Hang in there Exilers, we'll get there!

The ARMA server is currently down for maintenance, I'll make a proper announcement soon. Thanks for your patience! :)

More vehicles moved tonight to 155 160 (near the solar power stations) from the terminal safe zone.

Come on guys, we've had to move a good few cars again today due to the FPS drops occuring in the safe zone. Can you please start storing them at your bases or elsewhere on the map.

No we don't. I think BP servers are all 'in-house' as it were. It's a different game style though. Exile is where it's at! ;)

Hey dudes thanks for the invite! I'm new to all these mods so I really appreciate this group. I do have a question, do you guys have a breaking point server? Or should I just be playing exile?

We are getting a lot of questions asking if we will be killing the Epoch server now we are running Exile...the answer is NOPE, we'll run both.

In fact...we are going to be having an event in Epoch soon with a prize for the winner!

We will be making an announcement about it later tonight.

Epoch server is now updated with the latest ARMA version. We will be restarting it again this evening to increase the draw distance to 2KM.

Exile server will also be updated of course.

Epoch Server is being updated to the 1.50 version of Arma 3 right now. We'll be back up shortly.

Please read the latest announcement for some big server rule changes!

Sort of...you are mixing up two processes, either download from ModDB, extract to your ARMA folder and then in the ARMA splash screen (when you click on play in Steam), select the @Epoch folder from the Mods section...

Or...

Download and run it through the A3Launcher.

Doing one of the other should work.

Downloaded the latest epoch patch from the link you guys shared. Extracted the files to arma 3 but still the A3 Launcher tell me I need to download the exact same file (Missing file).

Am I doing something wrong ? :(::(:((

It's the group page of the Altis Tales ARMA 3 Epoch server, you must have joined the server to be invited to the group. :) It's one of the ways of contacting the admins if you need any help or have any questions.

***FREE NV + ENERGY***
If you spawn as a newbie on the server (i.e. have no kit) then the admins will give you a free set of night vision goggles and some energy so you can see at night - it get's really dark without it!

If no admins are available a player called Gordan may put a message over side chat offering NV + energy for new players. The kit has been given to him by the admins to hand out to players, it's not a trap if he offers it to you! On the flip side...if anyone calls him over and then attacks him, the attacker will be stripped of all their kit and vehicles!

tl;dr - Player Gordan will give out NV + energy to players if admins aren't on to give it out - don't call him over and shoot him!

The server locks for 5 minutes before it restarts. That stops players connecting only to be kicked straight out again. If you see that it's locked, go and make a coffee, when you come back, it'll be online again and you have a brew...win, win! :D

We seem to be having an issue with a Battleye update. It's prompted people to update their Battleye, they have done it and are then unable to join the game.

We're looking into this and will post an announcement, a Facebook update and a Twitter message as soon as we have it sorted.

More the description than anything. It still says AltisTales so it should be found easily. We've added some more things to it as well, I will make a blog post about the updates as soon as I get time. :)

Not sure then. Could have been anything really, could have been a player pinching it after being alerted by the gunfire. If the AI killed you but weren't around when you got back then it's certainly possible someone else cleared them out and took the car.

Was the vehicle gone? It could have been destroyed in the firefight and blew up after you were killed. Once they are burning they soon despawn.

Yesterday, bandits killed me. As usual i ran to my corpse to get back my stuff and vehicle. Curious : i got back my stuff on my corpse but not my vehicle ? bug or AI got my vehicle ?

I should note, the server hardware is being upgraded so it's knocked the teamspeak out as well...be back as soon as possible!

The server is down this morning while it has some maintenance. For those interested, it's a few security patches and some RAM. Be back soon!

***HELPFUL HINT - DON'T RAGE QUIT***

I've just seen three new players be killed by AI and they promptly disconnected. If you haven't played Epoch long you may not know that though you spawn without anything, your body and vehicle (if you have one) are still on the ground!

If you are killed, spawn back at the closest spawn point to your body and run to it! You may be able to get all your gear and vehicle back!
