Truth is, Uncle Sam wants control of the internet and the Euro lackies (e.g. our ELECTED government officials) are very willing to sign OUR freedom away for a pat on the back.

Every European country should take a look at Poland. Great job on getting your government to shred ACTA even after initially signing!

Much worse, it basically cancels out the rights for the people living in America, not only that, the American goverments have the power to extradite people from other countries to America and either make them: a) Go to prison for years without being charged with anything. b) Work in a slave labour camp, (this happens especially if you are black or hispanic).

Before it can become law it has to first get signed by the european parliament and then by the national parliaments. Remember that the european parlament has the pirate party in it and that it has already voted NO to a previous version of the ACTA bill and you'll see that there is a big chance that it will fail this time around as well. As for the national parliaments, only the polish one has indicated that they are willing to sign it. So it has a number of places were it can fail still. I doubt the German parlament will sign it for fear of the pirate party gaining momentum. They might be bought but they will not risk their jobs.
