Hey if you're into the craft badge thing, Valve just change the rules for this time (again I guest).

"We have made changes to seasonal sale trading card drops; Winter and Summer Sale trading cards will no longer drop one week prior to the sale when crafting a game badge. Crafting a game badge during a seasonal sale will continue to drop a sale trading card in addition to standard rewards. For more information on how to obtain seasonal sale trading cards check out our Steam Sale Trading Cards & Badge FAQ."

So if you have badge ready to craft wait until the Winter/Summer Sales start to get an extra card.
