Welcome to the ATU group!

We want you to take the next month or 2 to read our rules and regulations for our Discord Channel as well as our rules of engagement. You can find these on the Advanced Tactical Units steam group page under " Announcements". Out of respect for our current Clan members, we expect that you will follow these rules while playing games with ATU as if you were a full clan member. Keep in mind, your just in the group to get into this clan you must first be invited, so use this time to get to know all the members, as any one of them might be the member who first decides to vote you into the clan. Figuring out if you're a good fit for the clan is easy. Just join our Discord channel, group up with some of the clan members and do some gaming. You can find our Discord info on the steam group under "overview".

Advanced Tactical Unit

Rules and regulations

Note that these rules are subject to change at any time. Members are expected to abide by all rules whether they have read them or not. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. Note this document can also be called a Code of Conduct.

01. Respect our Board Members, Officers, Administrators and Moderators
You will respect our board members, officers, administrators and moderators that are in charge of battlefield operations and keep this community running. They donate their free time to delivering optimum team performance, ensuring that things are running smoothly, and some even donate money out of their own pocket. They deserve your respect.

02. Respect Your Fellow Teammate
Everyone is to be treated as an equal. If you wouldn't say something in physical face-to-face everyday life then don't say it online. ATU members are respectful of everyone deserving of respect, including non-members.

03. Identification and Representation
Tags are to be worn during your membership - no tags worn signals no clan membership and you may be removed without notice. When you are wearing our tags be aware that you are representing ATU. Act accordingly. Removal of tags without authorization could be an immediate ban - simply inform us ahead of time and get leadership approval.

04. The No's -- Just Don't Do It
No Hacking/Cheating/Boosting
No "bans on record"
No Racist/Sexist Comments
No Flaming/Harassment
No Spamming (in TS3 or on website)
No Obscene Nicknames
05. Keep Swearing in Text to a Minimum
The online community specifically. Swearing in TS3 is acceptable, but please refrain from constantly swearing. We are mostly an all adult team. If swearing upsets you or if you are uncomfortable in any way by swears, then we are probably not the clan for you.

06. Maturity
We require mature individuals. We understand age is not always the best indicator of maturity, but as a baseline we are 18+ with very few and rare exceptions. If a member has issues that s/he cannot resolve on their own please contact available senior members: Bo, Myst, or Beast. But first try to resolve issues between members at the lowest possible level or in other words, man up and settle it yourselves. If Board Members get involved there may be consequences. Everyone in the clan has the right to petition, disagree or complain if they want to. But this does not give you the right to do so disrespectfully. If you disagree with something, approach the situation with the right attitude and you might be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

07. Multi-clanning is Not Allowed
You have the right to choose the clan that is best suited for you. Commitment and the desire to be apart of ATU should prohibit the need to join other clans. If you'd like to join another clan please let us know and we'll honorably discharge you from ATU. Should you wish to rejoin ATU simply reapply.

08. Team Inactivity
We are always looking for committed members. Members that are inactive for 14 days or more without explanation are placed on inactive or AWOL status within the Team and community. These members are not included in scrimmages, roster lists, clan functions or other Team events. We all have lives outside of gaming and so there likely will be the need for some members to be absent for any period of time. For example we have service members that are gone for lengthy periods of time. Simply let us know to avoid getting put on inactive lists.

09. Team Events
If you commit and sign up for an event you must show up for that event or provide notice that you cannot make it. Clan members must be on time and preferably 30 minutes early to planned competitive matches. Showing up on time allows us to plan and coordinate our strategies, it also shows respect to your fellow clan members.

10. Contributions/Donations
Support is welcomed at any level of the organization, and there is no mandatory donation or subscription rate. But if you can help, offer. This includes non-monetary actions such as making content contributions in the forums and helping out where needed. Donations keep our TS3, website, and private servers running and are extremely helpful. However, donations will not imply advancement in the organization nor does it necessarily mean you'll be accepted onto the Team. Donations should only be made for the well being of the clan, not for personal gain.

11. Founders and Board Members
The current Founders and Board Members consists of Bo, Myst, and Beast. We are currently NOT recruiting for new Board members. Should we continue to grow and need extra help we will let the more senior or qualified members know.




Article I - Auto Sniper Riffle, Tubes, Launchers, Projectiles, etc.

Policy: Members of ATU are not permitted to be the first to use a Grenade Launcher or Auto Sniper Rifle in any game. Member is permitted to use these weapons only if member's are fired on first. Then members may retaliate with those weapons as members sees fit or until the game is over.

History: First and foremost, ATU is not a tubing or Auto Sniper oriented clan, whether it's apart of the game or not. Among other principles, this policy was established by the Founders since before the founding of the clan. So the history is there and it goes back far in time. This is not something that will likely change in the future either.

Description: There are many schools of thought surrounding their use and legitimacy, but regardless - they are not permitted by members of ATU unless said member is given explicit authorization or reasonable judgment can be made as to who used the weapons first. Understand what this means - it's not that you can never use the 2 weapons while you are a member of ATU. Instead what this means is essentially you are not to be the first to use these weapons in a game.

Article II - Battlefield Desertion, Leaving Games Early, AWOL

Policy: Partied members of ATU are at no time permitted to exit the battlefield of an on-going game or match. Members are permitted to leave the current game ONLY if the ranking official on the battlefield gives an explicit order for the team to remove themselves from the lobby. Then and only then will leaving a game prematurely be permissible. This order would encompass all team members leaving the current lobby.

History: ATU is a team oriented organization and as a team it is incumbent on every member to have their teammate's backs at all times. We win as a team and we lose as a team. We do not rage quit and/or leave games where we are not performing up to our individual expectations. We tough it out and support our teammates for the rest of the game.

Description: Through years of gaming we know when a lobby is tainted either by questionable enemies or connection issues and the like. ATU leadership recognizes when our team is struggling and have the authority to exit a game during a contest. Most of the time the proper approach would be to play out the game then find another lobby. If a game were to be "out of hand" early enough the order could be given to "retreat" from the lobby and regroup. Be vocal, express what you see and the ranking ATU official will make the call.
