It would appear that the launch was pushed back an hour to 1 PM EST, and could take as long as until 5 PM. So we'll see.

The semi-open beta is meant to kick off tomorrow (sunday) at 12pm EST (noon).

I'll be on, making our group if at all possible that early on, and sending out invites if the former statement holds true. We may have to wait 10-20 levels or w/e the fuck is in this game to invite into groups... but hopefully there will be a friend's list at least.

I doubt it'll be a smooth launch, but we can hope. Until then, Moustached Pagodas... Pagodaes... Pagodi.

In game Voip

So gentlemen, I've looked into the game's voip (Voice Over IP). The way it works is that anyone around can hear you chat, so proximity to the person is necessary in order to communicate to them, now this is really cool, it will allow you to hear the other person rage and cry, as you arrest them. Some glarring problem with this, is the possible voice spam, I am hoping they will include a mute system. Now down to main business of this announcement, are we going to use third party Voip? (vent, teamspeak, mumble) Or are we just going to utilize steam chat (which sucks btw, I am looking at you stump)

The votes are in, and only one of us voted to be a filthy, subhuman criminal, feeding off the weak and the helpless as the TRUE power runs the streets.

In other words, we're going Enforcer... but what will we call ourselves? Beer Barons? Johny Law? McBane's Choice? Or a name that's not awful?

Tomorrow I will put up a new annoucement. In the comments, you can put as many (good) names as you can think of. You can also second or third or etc etc etc any name you like. You can do this to as many names as you like, and we'll count up all the names people liked.

Only problem is, you can't second or third or w/e your own names.

If we have a tie, we will tiebreak with a live vote made in a chat at noon on sunday (game's opening, supposedly). If nobody second anything, I'll just pick a fucking name and you'll all love being the Pretty Ladies.

Tomorrow, at noon, annoucement goes up. Think up some good Enforcer names to do the force proud.

Please comment on this announcement and vote for our group being either a ciminal organization or an enforcer organization.

From what I've been able to gleem from the internets, the main differences (besides naming choices) are these:

Enforcers: Get to witness crimes (muggings, stealing cars and the like) when out an about in the city and while not on a mission. They also get stun weapons which allow them to arrest people. Arresting them on a mission gives them a longer respawn timer before re-entering the fight. Also, it's funny.

Criminals: Can commit those crimes to make extra money. As a criminal you don't have to worry about "accidently" running over civillains (unless an enforcer is watching) or things of that nature. Also, you get to be a criminal without all the prison rapings generally associated.

So what's your vote?
