This group was founded mostly because of the content you had to buy in the Skyrim workshop. Since there is no other moves like this by Steam as of yet, I see no point in staying in this group. It was nice while it lasted.
Yojilou 27 Jun, 2015 @ 10:59am
Just wondering, we can maybe keep this group a little bit more alive by starting maybe three different discussions, just a suggestion. :P
Raccoonmancer 11 Jun, 2015 @ 12:02pm

@stab master arson
I know your pain as well as any other person,
but your post made no sense.
WindsFall 2 May, 2015 @ 11:37am
Basically this group shouldnt be so patriotic to the idea that everything should be free, we should be petitioning for valve to take smaller cuts from people's work. Its OK for them to take some, because they are advertizing the mod and the creator could make a lot more money that with some place like gamabanana, but not more than maybe 20%
WindsFall 2 May, 2015 @ 11:32am
I hope you all know that valve doesnt make any workshop items need to be payed, It's all up to the creator. valve added this so that contributors to the workshop have a way to make money, and yes, they do get a fair sum of the money in return. What we SHOULD be fighting against is how much of the cut valve takes. Paid mods are a good thing for creators, so i don't think people should be 100% against it just because they don't want to pay 50 cents to support the mod creator.
Raccoonmancer 28 Apr, 2015 @ 10:30am
We should all remember no matter which game it is we must fight against paid mods, Because as always greed takes its course and soon our beloved skyrim and all the modding communities would be endangered again. Never forget this, even if the idea rises again as the same Bsh*t do not let it take roots. Heres a reminder of why https://imgur.com/a/bqcla?gallery
vewlixx 28 Apr, 2015 @ 7:39am
i think its bad you can buy things from the Steam store. everything in the world should be free because that would benefit me greatly. god bless

JUSTICE HAS WON THIS DAY!
Gustavus Adolphus 27 Apr, 2015 @ 8:43pm
we won check the work shop!
puNDuKE 27 Apr, 2015 @ 12:05pm
Just wanted to say hi and I support the cause against the whole workshop thing. I just feel like it's getting out of hand when MK-X already charges you for the characters you would actually want to play for an additional $30... then this around the corner? What's next? Steam startup; please deposit $0.25?

Please don't do this valve! April fools joke still..... hahaha?

im confused about weather it would be good or bad but still it sounds bad so here i am... Cool cool.

Moding is about sharing not marketing and profiting. When something becomes a business people will start to cut corners to make more money to get paid for their effort rather than letting the goal to create drive them. Look at what has happened to gaming in the past 5 years. The games have become more expensive but have they really gotten better? Let us not forget Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed Unity, every Call of Duty game after the original Modern Warfare. More profit does not inspire better product, more profit inspires the pursuit of more profit. The game industry is just that, an industry, but mods are sacred something set apart from the desire to create more revenue and just inspired by the human need to create untainted by the squables and expectations that money brings about. Trust me, if you want better mods you want free mods.
Raccoonmancer 27 Apr, 2015 @ 12:36am
150000 people isnt a small number, remember steam has approx. 8 million people online every day but 150000 should be enough for them to look at it i believe
Akira Sweets | Dog Mom 26 Apr, 2015 @ 8:37pm
I have one thing to say: Are you sure Valve will even look at a guy's petition he made?
m0bius 26 Apr, 2015 @ 3:01am
We need a gaming community revolt, console and pc gamers side by side fighting for the same purpose, united we can stand against the injustices of the game industry, united we can create a world with no boundaries, united we can make a difference and save gaming and form a constitution for all game studios to abide by, together we can prevail in this revolution. God speed my fellow patriots.

I have seen this before in other games and dislike it greatly. The gaming industry will nickle and dime their customers to death in schemes to make them rich and you poor. The beauty of the modding community was we all shared in some way..whether as the modder, teams, the beta testers, the user, the reviewer and so on. A community combined sharing, learning, contributing and supporting each other was working very well without the money attached. They are breaking something that wasn't broken. A few cents here, a few dollars there...in time it will add up when you want to use a variety of mods. I'm not interested in being pickpocketed by the real world, I'll leave all that nonsense for everyone else.
Manowar274 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:58pm
can someone explain this to me i know valve is going to let people charge for mods and this group is against it can someone give me a link to info? (imo if you buy the game any addons other than bethesdas DLC should be free)
GruntBoik 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:50pm
QuantumApocalypse i can confirm i have wet and cold and most of the other pay for mods and as of yet they are still installed and i have not had to pay a penny so dont worry if you have a paid mod already subscribed to
PI One 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:46pm
I agree to support the MODERS not company for something they didnt put any effort in
PI One 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:45pm
Are they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NUTS? They dont have a right to do that in first place what the ♥♥♥♥?
Lil' Nutt 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:45pm
We want to donate to the creators, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ be made to pay for something they made in their free time.
Amberlyske 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:30pm
Donations, fine but this charging system is crap. Also, I heard that for your already-downloaded mods they will charge you to continue using them. Can anyone comfirm this?
Blizuden 25 Apr, 2015 @ 6:13am
no paid but yes for donations
supercool 24 Apr, 2015 @ 6:17pm
NO for paid mods, YES for donations to modders!!!
If people are going to pay for mods, let all that money stay in the community (modders) not in the bonus of the FN exectutive that came up with this BS idea.

I have found Valve's (well-hidden) customer support phone number:

I agree with Brezlon. Popular mods should be rewared as to create incentive for more good ones. If you sell mods as they are then you create a drive for people to make as many mods as possible to cash out rather than good ones that are maintained with time.
=EndOfToon= 24 Apr, 2015 @ 12:12pm
I just want to say, I don't mind paid content...BUT the way Steam is doing it is detrimental to the community. This will only cause a rift in modders. There will be people who will spam junk for 'cheap' & quality-producing modders will get sick of this, going elsewhere.

It should have been done differently. Donations, or a paid incentive for good quality due to high ratings or positive reviews (from legit players). Something other than a quick cash-grab by Steam.
