It's been a while... I mean a really long time.... Like years....

I'm not sure if you all remember me, but I'm Killer, the leader of ALPHA back in the day.

Over the past few years I've gone to University and studied to become a game designer. Upon graduating, I started my own game company with some other talented people.

Over the past 8 months we have been working on Rogues Like Us, a 3D Hack n' Slash Roguelike. Today, we have finally launched the game on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight. I know it's been a while, but it would mean a lot to me if you guys could help out in any way possible (back it, vote for it, share it around). Running ALPHA and hanging out with all of you was the reason I got into game development in the first place (also because I wanted to join Red5 and make Firefall better, but that's just a lost cause).

Rogues Like Us is a 3D hack n’ slash rogue-like that combines the gameplay of The Binding of Isaac with the combat of Bastion, and brings it all together with a story and progression system that are based on the weapons you find and use.

In most rogue-like games, the focus is on the character, unlocking new items through gameplay to help them progress, and achieving a goal that the character has. The core of Rogues Like Us revolves around the weapons you find, rather than the people. These aren’t normal weapons, but Soul Conduits that feed off of your life force, giving you immense power in return.

Each rogue you play as will die, and with each death the weapons you use will feed and become stronger, imbuing even more power into the next rogue that comes along. These weapons are important to your clan, they protect the people you love. So what if you die? Maybe your efforts will provide enough power for the next rogue to achieve what you failed to do.

Hey everyone who frequents Steam and Not the Forums (Which you should really do, that's where most of the talking is at.) We got another wave of invites and those of us itching to hand them out. You heard right guys, I got two beta keys to hand out. If you are interested. Leave a comment down below on why you should get the BETA Key and and your email that you registered on FireFall with so I can properly send them out. Keys will be given out at exactly 12:00AM EST (-5 GMT) to give other people a chance.
