Hello Startigarians!

We have some big news for everyone here.


We were having a lot of problems with the big inflation happening with Obsidian (with super extractor 18 obsidian can be extracted). This is a major problem.

The team has thus decided to change our current currency to Bones.

How do you get Bones? Many animals drop 1 - 2 Bones on death. You can also gather Fossil in mines and turn it into 1 Bone per Fossil.

We are confident that this will help a lot fighting inflation as the gathering process is much longer.

For those of you who have gathered a lot of Obsidian, we will offer the following exchange rates for the next Week (7 days from now!)

10 Obsidian for 1 Bone (it is up to the player to use this offer or not. The town makes the exchange.)


We welcome our new moderator and friendly neighbourhood watch soldier Lardhead to our team. He will support the team mostly from the inside and is given 2nd in Command of the town guard. (Captain is Leo).


The class system is very complicated at the moment and we will change it in the future. We keep you updated about the changes.


From today on we will not accept any new members for the time being. This is for different reasons:

- We want to work out the plans for the city thoroughfully. As we want to plan it out a bit in advance, it is good to not have interferences here.
- We want to work out the Guides and Rules so that they are fit for the community. This past few weeks were a learning experience where we could see what works and what does not. Now it is time to transform these experiences into better Rules/Guideline section. The plan is to make them easier to understand, logical and easy for new members to get into the game. In the past we already had various conflicts with members about this theme and it made some quite frustrated and they left. We want to prevent this from happening again.

Once we have a solid basis for the Rules and Guidelines, we will reopen the recruiting once again. Of course exceptions can be made for some cases, for example you have a friend you want to invite to the server.

Lastly, just a little reminder, for those people that have overseen this. We have some DMs (Dungeon Master). If those people are online, they are invisible to the player world. The DMs are constructing a world around us to make our experience richer.

Also: Arctek! Please mind that we have not discovered Arctek at the moment! This includes all the Arctek furniture (exception: when found, these can only be used in your own house!) as well as Arctek Armor! It is not allowed to craft those items at the moment. There will be soon an event, where the players get the chance to discover it.

Teleporters are NOT allowed at the moment as the technology is missing. (Exception is made for the DM base, if you happen to find that one). They will be added in a future time, but will always be very limited. We hope you can understand this step. Teleporters are a major game killer, as it takes away the need to explore things. Most likely we will have teleporters between cities only.

Please set your Touchstone to private use only. It falls unto the same category as teleporters.

Good people of Startigara,

Right now a big project has been put in motion. For the good of the community, it has been decided to turn our Startigara into an even nicer town for us all!

During the first phase of project Overhaul, many buildings will be tore down. Those buildings are either not in use by their previous owner or did not fit the requirements of our lovely town.


In a second phase we will reconstruct our town to become more beautiful than ever. Be prepared!


Also, in a step to prevent future reconstruction, the profession Builder is now a restricted profession. It is not possible to take it in the beginning. Those who want to become a builder will have to pass a building test first where they prove that they can build in the right building style (fantasy-mediveal). If you have references of your skills (screenshots of built things), they can be accounted too. Once the proof is delivered, you become a Startigara certified architect. How the test will be conducted is tbd.

If anyone without the builder job builds something, his or her house may be taken down without further notice. Anyone is entitled to build his own house, but is asked to consult an architect. If the self-built house strays too far from the desired style, the town will offer to improve it.

We understand that this causes some inconveniences for some people, but we hope you understand for the better of the community.

Heary heary, good people of Startigara, I have news for you.

With Willy stepping down from his post, it is time to introduce our awesome community to the new team that will lead the server!

I am taking up the position as Mayor for the moment. (Maybe in the future we can then have elections and someone else will be the next one!)

But I am not doing this job alone, I have assembled a great team of competent people around me. Let's meet the Team!

Already now I want to thank the here mentioned ones for their motivation and help, that will surely benefit our server.

Liz will start working on the Guidelines and Rules section, sorting everything out as some rules are unclear, others obsolete. This will help us greatly for the future.
Stranger and I will start constructing a big town square right in front of town hall. This is why stones are lying everywhere at the moment. Please do not build anything at the moment at town square.
Blorni will soon come up with some new rules for the tax system.


Just as an information, why the changes are not yet made in the Steam Group: unfortunately Willy gave ownership to 2nd Horseman instead of me. I assume he misclicked there something. It seems 2nd Horseman is not online often and we can only wait and hope he will be soon.



I would also like to talk about a theme, that has caused some problems with some of our ex members already. Startigara is a living city. And in Citys you have change, this is a fact. Maybe some time ago, there was nothing there, but now the city is right in front of you. It does not make sense to have a farm right in the middle of the town. Nor does it to have a quarry in the farm land. For our expansion of the town center, we also had to ask some people to move their houses, as the city will need the space. If you think of big cities, those kind of changes happen all the time. PLEASE do not take this as an insult to your person or anything! If we ask you to move your property or maybe change the look of it, we will of course help you and in case of resettlement, give you new land free and help you move! We are not doing this to bother you or destroy your things. But we are trying to turn Startigara into a beautiful town, that everyone will be happy to take a stroll in.

Also, please do not go off into the wild and start building a huge castle. The rules clearly state, that big projects can not be done alone, nor should you walk just away without the profession as a soldier. If you want to do some kind of big building project, be sure to check with a mod or admin first!
