The progress of 34 Commando taking off has been slow, we're not shy to admit that. That being said, we were approached by someone I used to play with in a different group, and he introduced us to the group he is a part of. Here, they propositioned us with something you may or may not have heard of before.

They are called '1st Joint Expeditionary Force' and they are a large group, divided up into sub groups, which is where 34 comes along. Inside the 1JEF group will be 34 Commando, we will be alongside what is currently a U.S Marine force, and a Dutch group (whose name I don't know yet), but I believe they are always looking to expand to more. The idea is to get different Arma groups who each have their own play styles, tactics and equipment, and get them working alongside that of different nations. Hence the name 'Joint Expeditionary Force'.

We will not belong to them, nor will we be answering to them, we will keep our same rank structure, training and operational techniques as well as the British equipment we are currently using. Obviously, as the mission creators themselves, the officers from all groups will meet and be briefed, which will then be passed onto the NCO's et al.

All they ask is that we fill in the application form which will be found below, purely so that they have a 'paper trail' as they called it. Please fill it in if you are interested, if not, I'm afraid you won't be getting up to much with 34 as this will be our primary means of operations for a while, or until we get bored, and decide to make our own.
That being said, I did say 'won't be getting up to much' not 'won't be getting up to anything' as we will still host our patrol ops, and anything we may feel like putting on.

As well as asking that we fill the forms, they have also asked;

1) That we make their Sunday ops. They will be running ops every Sunday, but of course we don't require anyone to HAVE to make anything. We haven't asked that, so we will not be expecting anyone else to be asking that of you. You are still part of 34 primarily.

2) That we download their modlist. They have said the list is only around 6GB, and has everything they use inside it.

They recently did a Sunday op and had over 20 guys playing at one time, that's from both of the mentioned groups.
