Hi, thanks for your reply. I’m experiencing an issue with running Counter-Strike 2 on Linux. Even though Vulkan is enabled and I’ve set VK_ICD_FILENAMES to use the Intel GPU, the game still seems to use the software renderer llvmpipe instead of my Intel GPU. This causes very low performance and stuttering. I’m looking for guidance on how to force the game to use my Intel GPU properly with Vulkan.
Let's try this again: please describe the actual issue you're having with VAC on Linux.
Message / Ziņojums:
Hello,
I am experiencing a VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) issue when trying to play Counter-Strike 2 on my Linux system.
Details:
OS: Ubuntu 24.04 “Noble”
GPU: Intel(R) Graphics (ADL GT2)
Vulkan driver: mesa-vulkan-drivers 25.0.7
Steam runtime / Proton: Not using Proton; running natively on Linux
CS2 installation path: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike 2/
Steps to reproduce:
Launch CS2 on Linux via Steam.
VAC error appears, preventing online play.
Additional info:
vulkaninfo shows Intel GPU as primary device, and no NVIDIA GPU is installed.
All system updates and Mesa drivers are installed.
VAC works correctly on Windows (if tested).
I have attached cs2_vulkan.log for reference.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this VAC issue on Linux?
Thank you for your assistance.
