L4D2 has a more active player base, but it is mostly custom rule servers that have players.
L4D2 has the maps from the first game, so their is no need to get the first game anymore.
L4D1 has ragdoll animations, and many other things L4D2 doesn't have. There is special music, other videos, a different user interface, a different text font, different AI and so on. It runs differently as well, and it plays differently.
Certain maps are also slightly different. You need to look more closely. Then you will see that there are many small differences.
Anyway, if there is no game, then you should create a game.
And in the meantime, Steam uses CS:GO reviews for CS2. It's absurd to do that, because it's a different game. Barely anyone complains about this, but it is absurd.
I am serious. It's not done. Steam should not do such things.
Some things are managed very poorly on Steam. And I should probably complain more. Not that complaining helps. But still. There are many things I would like to complain about.
lfd2 should still be thriving. the likes of Team Fortress 2, i would imagine.
Lighthouse survival map removed also. And, it's been so long but ik there was other content taken out i.e. game worsened.
