We don't do anything as most people did nothing in that year with IRC.

Where you getting your numbers? With WTV you could communicate with your family on ICQ even with email.

No it would be incorrect, it would be less than 0.2%.

Some of us were alive back then but were children, we knew what the real world was like before now.

ulTRAX and Mattman69 ran a muck on wtv-tricks:/tricks and got WebTV Corp to TOS them and many others after the breech.

The DISHPlayer came about about 2001 and was the first "DVR" to record 1 hour. Had a 10 GB Seagate.

edit: actually 1999 before The Monday Night Wars was over.

Yeah especially Network Topology TCP/IP which were manually configured, Hardcore cables with Terminator End Points and T-Pieces for each computer connected.

PS: Let's not forget Legendary Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP)

Most people still use SSH though and SFTP.
