It's 1998. You are on WebTV's IRC Client in TalkCity
And someone's just issued an A/S/L check in main channel! What you do?!

Good ol days, Winamp, Kazaa, LAN, House parties, All the films from the 90's can educate today's society on the golden era, before curruption and greed became mainstream after Y2K. There were no smartphones either. Well it did exist, but not like today.

We don't do anything as most people did nothing in that year with IRC.

WTV had people online since 96 without a mac or PC
Gateway would start selling PCs for less than 1K about 98 or 99 . P2 and P3s

No it would be incorrect, it would be less than 0.2%.

Some of us were alive back then but were children, we knew what the real world was like before now.
ulTRAX and Mattman69 ran a muck on wtv-tricks:/tricks and got WebTV Corp to TOS them and many others after the breech.

The DISHPlayer came about about 2001 and was the first "DVR" to record 1 hour. Had a 10 GB Seagate.

Yeah especially Network Topology TCP/IP which were manually configured, Hardcore cables with Terminator End Points and T-Pieces for each computer connected.

PS: Let's not forget Legendary Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP)
