Therefore I don't give any legitimacy to most claims the users make here or any other forum.
Boards which has people active should be cherished.
I blame discord.
It’s a shame what I just seen this past month. Looking at all of the postings now and everyone has left the board except the ones asking questions and the one report abuser.
Why are we letting entire discussion boards become echo chambers for professional victims?
If moderation here will be abused, why have it. This is a reason majority of smarter users have left.
You could set one up yourself on Steam and invite your friends first and encourage the promotion of it (without breaking Steam Advertising rules on its pages).
Specifically the issue lies in spreading misinformation and striking down opposite views so new players who read sont have a choice but to be mislead.
This happened on a good indy game.
They had a chat for players under a certain level.
And so you got people who had played for a year but didn't level up and just hogged the new player chat feeling superior to everybody.
They would slate the game 'above a certain level' and say its just bullying and horrible people and so people kept leaving.
Naturally I had an opinion on this and the game developers implemented a very different system on new players and their own public chat.
It had been like that for couple of years before I turned up and put my thoughts to staff about it.
(the Devs were great the staff for players were bit hit and miss).
Doesn't matter whether i do or not
