After the discounts, the Steam Deck LCD 256GB model shows as sold out.
Will it be back in stock in Europe (Spain)?

Bad news.
"Note: We are no longer producing the Steam Deck LCD 256GB model. Once sold out, it will no longer be available."

Oh man. My friend was interested in a Steam Deck... but without that entry-level option it ain't looking as attractive for him.

Guess we are gonna have to re-evaluate the competition before he takes his decision.
Missing out on it may not be a bad thing, its likely not going to be supported by newer software going forward. 2026 may see a lot of them up for sale on used market.

Thats what happens when you released old tech later at a date when its outdated and software support from AMD had a ticking clock. These are on sale for a reason, I would skip the LCD version you basically buy old AMD tech with a Dinosaur age screen technology.

Why would it not be supported?

Not referring to manufacture, referring to software houses, not producing new software for discontinued tech, its seen as a dying market, which it is.

Valve is working with AMD to keep all the hardware Valve sells up to date through Steam OS, just the same as with the other discontinued Deck models.

Tell me you don't know what the differences are between the models without actually telling me.

They were going to drop support for RDNA 2 was it? What RDNA is the deck? RDNA 5 is due in 2026 how long do you think Valve will pay AMD to support an old RDNA? I would not be shocked if AMD only delayed that by one year.

All the Steam Deck models have the same components aside from the screen and SSD capacity.

I don't, I have no clue because i've never owned one PS, Xb, Nintendo, none of them. Doesn't change anything, used market will still be full of them in 2026.
