Two, multiple games crashing after updates isn't impossible. Two games could get bad updates. However, if that problem isn't widespread or you seem to be the only one experiencing it, might not be a problem with the games. In that case resolving the issue on your PC would be a better solution. And it's possible downgrading wouldn't fix the issue if the problem wasn't actually the updates. That's assuming there's a even a reasonable option to test the previous versions to see if there's actually any correlation to the updates and crashing.
If old versions aren't maintained in beta branches, it may be difficult to get the specific version you want back. In which case you're back to troubleshooting and resolving the issues on your PC.
If it is a widespread problem after updates on both games you'd expect the forums to be buzzing about that, and probably additional hotfixes coming down the pipe, so in that case you might just need to be patient.
