Are the tickets automatically closing? Make sure they are still open. If there automatically closing, you have a phisher on your account messing with it.

How long? A week? A month? How long is "long" here?

There is a holiday event happening and this will increase the time it takes for tickets.

Also if you are submitting multiple tickets this will reset the position of your ticket usually and you need to wait for the current ticket to be dealt with before placing another one.

Finally only the account holder should be sending in tickets so if you are doing this on your account to try to help out it will not work.

That tends to happen when you fall victim to very obvious phishing scams.
