Reverse region change

I'm wondering if I change my current region/currency in Steam to another, will it be possible to change the region/currency back to the first one without being in that country? For example: I was in Germany and used the euro currency in Steam, but decided to move to the USA and there I changed the region to the USA. But after several purchases in that region, I wanted to change the region back to Germany. Would I be able to change it without being in Germany or do I have to be in the country to which I want to change the region?
