I'm on Win 11 latest version, all updates installed. Steam client is latest version as well. But in task manager it still says "Steam Client Service (32-bit)".

I even tried uninstalling Steam (bad idea btw as it removes all shortcuts for games and I had a LOT of games installed ;) ) and downloaded the client again from the Steam website but still the same 32-bit client version.

How do you get the 64-bit version that was supposedly released today?

Oh, I see it now. Only the actual *.exe is 64-bit. The Steam service is still 32-bit so this is normal.

Well, that sucks a little . Uninstalling the Steam client resulted in the entire C:\ library getting WIPED without Steam asking for confirmation regarding the games.
My D:\ library still exists. Only had to link it back up again.

I thought it would be the same for C:\ unless you specifically tell Steam to also uninstall the games but it doesn't even ask. It just uninstalls everything without batting an eye lol.
Steam doesn't even keep its settings. I had to manually reset everything to my preferences.

Oh well... looking at the bright side here, sometimes a fresh start can be nice, too, when you have less installed games and can focus more on finishing the actually installed games :) .
