Is 3 hours enough time to process a credit card payment?
Especially when the credit card authorized it almost instantly? Can't wrap my head around "just wait" as the only solution.

Credit Card > Payment Processor > Steam.

Your credit card shows the funds allocated (on hold) so you cannot spend it on something else. Steam is waiting (pending) for the payment to reach them from the payment processer.

Just went through after 3 hours and 20 minutes which is insane. Terrible system.

Blame fraudsters for taking advantage of the system and ruining it for legitimate users who now have to jump through hoops to get anything done.
