Steam credit help
Hi.

My parents wanted to buy some Steam credit for my son for Christmas. They couldn't find an instore card of the denomination they wanted so they asked my brother to buy it for him via Steam and send the email to me, to print and use as the present for my son.
My brother doesn't have a Steam account so logged in as a guest to buy the credit, then used his email address as the recipient to then forward on to me. I note that the credit HAS NOT been redeemed.

Obviously this has flagged my brothers email as the account to redeem the credit to and so we want to cancel the transaction but he is being sent round in circles on the chatbot as there is no account tied to his email address.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Many people lately seem to have problems with making purchases. This might be because Steam is getting ready for the big Winter Sale tomorrow.

If this still happens tomorrow, you might want to contact Steam Support through the Help tab at the top of the window. Sorry if I can't help you beyond this.
Is this a digital gift card? Also, where do you live? Just say the country, that is all we have to know. Your either purposely omitting this information to get people to help you on a reason you already know, or it really is a issue. You need to clarify the information. The lack of information is hurting your case OP.
