No Support Cant Complete Purchase
Hi, I guess this is my last resort. I purchased a few games on Steam last week. I used my Discover card for the purchase. Steam states the purchase was decline. Discover says it was approved. I can see the transaction on the Discover site. Steam took my purchases and moved them back to my cart. Steam support is not that responsive. Anyone have ideas on how I can get Steam to complete the transaction?

It likely failed on some part. Best thing to do is wait and the charges are likely to be removed from your credit card.
Likely Discover is doing something, they’re not the most competent payment processors imho

If you are attempting your purchase through the Steam website, please try purchasing through the Steam client, or vice versa.

Disable or completely remove any IP proxy or VPN software that you may be using, restart your computer, and test your purchase again. All transactions that are initiated through anonymous proxies will be declined by Steam.

If you are still unable to complete a purchase, contact Steam Support with detailed information, including your Steam account name and the exact error message that you are seeing.

Capitol One checking/debit switched to Discover this month. No issues here.

I have already contacted Steam support last week. They gave me a generic your account was decline statement without looking into it. Discover informed me today the purchase was approved. I don't think Steam support is looking into it. Not sure I understand what the problem is.

If it's "failed" it means that Steam didn't get your money. Support has nothing to look at.
