DMC 5 is both emotional and goofy, and that is what I really like about it the most. There is lots of fun here. But for a completionist who is looking for platinum (or 100% achievements), this one isn't really friendly. You'll need skills, fast reactions, and luck. If any of these 3 fails you, you'll need patience, and you will have to take breaks and come back. But the game becomes annoying when you are doing a perfect run, only to find an unexpected projectile hitting you and ruining your S rank. I'm almost done with the 100%, but it's really tedious and exhausting. If you don't care about achievements, you'll still enjoy it if you like action games.

Why:

-Focused execution of vision
DMC5 strides with zero uncertainty on what it desires to be delivers on that promise flawlessly. Gameplay, sound, graphics, art direction, and message all converge into a tightly paced package, and what it offers cannot be replicated. It's a game with an identity as strong as Super Mario Brothers.

-The culmination of Devil May Cry
5 confidently states itself as the ultimate DMC experience and the king of action combat. It draws on experience from all of DMC's past missteps and polishes its successes into a fine substance.

-It's anti-woke
In an era where video games are beginning to degenerate from genuine commodities into a churning mire of oversaturated, mass production sludge, DMC doesn't just manage to sidestep samey, bubblewrap ideology, it shoves a motorcycle sword in its face. This game has four unapologetic, hyper masculine male protagonists who like chicks and it's better for it as a piece of art.

-It pushes video games forward as an art medium
5 doesn't stagnate, it doesn't play safe or step back into the security of its own legacy. Instead, it confidently weaves together motifs, even those conflicting, viz. Supernatural, Chainsaw Man, punk rock, electric dance, jazz, The Crow and post-goth subculture, and the wounded poet as if it's owned the formula the entire time. DMC5 is a subcultural case study and a masterpiece of expression.

-"If it isn't fun, why bother?"
It's just fun. Like the stated mission of video games back when they were on chunky cartridges that you slammed down into a bay, it's impossible to boot up 5 without having some sort of fun. Everything we've mentioned thus far is just parts, but as a whole, DMC5 just puts a smile on your face. That X factor of everything just clicking together to make you forget about the world is what elevates this game to the status of "perfect."
