I love Mordhau but no one plays it anymore :(

Abandoned, don't ever bother wasting your time with this one.

MORDHAU is actually a really good game, and I can see why people loved it when it first came out back in April 2019. The combat is fun, the weapons feel good, and the whole medieval chaos thing is still really cool.
The problem is trying to get into it now. Most of the people still playing are level 200 to 300 with thousands of hours, usually like 3k to 5k, and they already know every weird combo and animation trick in the game. A lot of it does not even feel like normal combat anymore. It feels like they are abusing stuff that was never really meant to be used that way.
It would not be so bad if the community was chill, but a lot of the high-level players are toxic too. They will farm new players all game, but if you manage to kill them one time, their ego completely explodes. You can tell some of them take it way too personally.
The game itself is good, and I honestly wish I got to play it when everyone was new. But now it feels like the veteran players made it almost impossible for new players to enjoy or stick around.
