About This Demo

STRATEGY MEETS LOOT (DECKBUILDING + LOOT)

It’s not enough to have the right cards; you need the right steel. In Scourge of Eldryngard, your hero's power stems from the synergy between your deck and your inventory. Find ancestral equipment, manage your arsenal, and forge items that drastically alter how your cards behave. Here, the loot dictates your tactics.

FORGE YOUR ARSENAL

Don’t rely on luck—trust the heat of the furnace. In Eldryngard, power isn't found in temples; it’s extracted from metal. Through a deep system of archaic metallurgy, you have total control over your arsenal's evolution:

  • Industrial Synergy: Create pieces that don’t just boost your numbers, but permanently modify how your cards function on the battlefield.

  • Mechanical Enhancement: Level up your equipment to face increasingly lethal threats.

  • Attribute Reforge: Adjust the components of your weapons and armor so they mold perfectly to your deck’s strategy.

  • Ancestral Ascension: Transform rare items into Ancestral Relics, unlocking the true potential of lost engineering to decimate the Xenos hordes.

A WORLD OF ENGINEERING AND METAL

Forget fireballs and mystic rituals. Eldryngard is a world of gears, steel, and resilience. Survival depends on archaic technology and the coldness of tactical combat. Face the biological aberrations that have invaded the realm and unravel the mystery behind Malkorath’s madness in a realistic journey where every strike has weight and consequence.

MASTER UNIQUE FIGHTING STYLES

Each survivor brings a distinct combat style. Master deep mechanics that demand more than just luck:

  • Draegor, the Royal Guard*: The bulwark of Eldryngard. He uses heavy armor and a shield not just for defense, but to convert his Block into devastating blows. He is the master of survival and defensive strategy. (will only be present in the final version of the game)

  • Aldrich, the Barbarian: A whirlwind of steel. Wielding a two-handed axe, he enters a state of uncontrollable Fury. The more wounded Aldrich is, the more lethal his area-of-effect attacks become.

  • Darian, the Poison Master*: Silent death. Focused on debilitating the enemy with persistent Toxins, Darian wins battles through attrition, watching his opponents succumb before even delivering the final blow. (will only be present in the final version of the game)

  • Hanako, the Yamatai Spy*: Sequence precision. With her dual daggers, she utilizes a system of Combos and card flows. Her attacks strengthen with every card played in the correct order, punishing the enemy with a storm of cuts. (will only be present in the final version of the game)

  • Elyndra, the Forest Warden*: Ballistic precision and biological vanguard. An expert in long-range shots with high-tension bows, Elyndra dominates the battlefield by keeping her distance. She utilizes the tactical support of Arctos, her combat bear, who acts as a living wall to defend her while she identifies and eliminates enemy weak points. (will only be present in the final version of the game)

  • Zahara, the Siege Engineer*: Heavy ballistics and area denial. Zahara doesn't fight with elegance, but with raw mechanical force. Armed with a heavy siege crossbow, she fires massive bolts that pierce the toughest carapaces. As a master of rudimentary engineering, she controls the flow of combat by installing tactical traps that punish any enemy daring enough to advance. (will only be present in the final version of the game)

*Note: Only Aldrich will be present in the DEMO version. The other heroes will be available in the final version of the game.

CAMPAIGN OR HARDCORE

  • Journey Mode: Explore a dense campaign through brutal Acts. Rest in towns, manage your deck, accept exclusive missions, and participate in infinite hunts to strengthen your hero. Progression here is persistent, and the world evolves with your victories.

  • Hardcore Mode: For veterans seeking the limit. Permadeath and procedural encounters inspired by the genre's greatest classics. Face 10 levels of progressive difficulty (Ascension) that make Eldryngard a near-impossible challenge for the unprepared.

*Note: Only the Journey mode will be present in the DEMO version. The Hardcore/Roguelike mode will be present in the final version of the game.

TACTICAL ARCHITECTURE

In Eldryngard, knowledge is a resource as vital as steel. Every card found on the battlefield represents a combat module that you can integrate into your strategy. Store discovered techniques in your personal library and refine your deck to maximize each hero's strengths. Here, you don’t just play cards—you design the mechanics of your own victory, forging a deck that responds precisely to your command style.

THE SURVIVAL MARKET

The economy of war demands pragmatism. In the outposts scattered across the realm, you must manage your resources with surgical precision. Convert the spoils of past battles into capital, sell obsolete equipment to optimize your loadout, and acquire rare components, supplies, and experimental weapons. Knowing when to invest in a new piece or save resources for an Ancestral Forge is what separates the masters of survival from the victims of the Xenos scourge.

FROM THE ENTHUSIAST TO THE PLAYER
"Scourge of Eldryngard isn't just code in Godot; it’s the game that I, as a long-time fan of RPGs and deckbuilders, have always dreamed of playing. As a solo developer, I took on the challenge of creating a dense, tactical world that would normally require a team of dozens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment. To make this dream a reality, I embraced AI technology not as a shortcut, but as my technical ally. It allowed me to focus on what truly matters: balancing hundreds of cards, the depth of the forge, and the synergy with hundreds of items. Every piece of art, every line of dialogue, and every mechanic passed through my scrutiny and passion. This game is a tribute to persistence and the new era of indie development. It is proof that AI isn't here to replace human work, but to make the once impossible, possible."
