About This Demo

TWO VOICES. ONE GAME. WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?

THE JACK OF SPADES:

"Quick! He's asleep. I don't have much time.
This isn't just a card game. It's a prison.
And I need your help to escape."

My name is Leia. The Jack of Spades. I've been trapped here for... I don't know how long anymore.

All the cards in this deck are prisoners. Asleep. Forgotten. The Joker keeps us here, frozen in his "perfect little solitaire game." He tells you it's normal. He's lying.

What this game really is:
  • A prison — 52 cards trapped in an endless game
  • A mystery — Why are we here? What does he want?
  • A rebellion — Awaken the cards. Give them back their memories. Their powers.
  • A fight — He will try to stop you. He will cheat. He will punish you.

In this demo, you'll learn how to play his game... and how to break his rules. You'll meet me. You'll awaken your first cards. You'll see how far he lets you go before he panics.

Please. Don't believe him. Don't leave us here.

THE JOKER:

"Ignore her. She's dramatic.
This is Solitaire. Classic Klondike. Nothing more.
...Why would I lie about a card game?"

Welcome, welcome! I'm the Joker, your host, your guide, your only reliable narrator here.

Let me tell you what this game actually is:

What this game really is:
  • Classic Klondike Solitaire — Sort cards from Ace to King. Simple.
  • Nostalgic pixel art — Beautiful, relaxing, normal.
  • Original soundtrack — Composed just for you. You're welcome.
  • A complete tutorial — I'll teach you everything. Trust me.

In this demo, you'll learn the rules, play a few rounds, maybe hear some... whispers... that you should absolutely ignore. Then you'll leave. Happy. Satisfied. Not asking questions.

Cards don't "wake up." They don't have feelings. They don't need saving.

Play the demo. Have fun. And please... don't dig deeper.

THE TRUTH?

One of them is lying.

Play the demo. Listen to both voices. Decide for yourself.

And if you want to know what's really happening... the full game has all 52 cards, all the secrets, and all the answers you're looking for.

A PERSONAL NOTE

This game was born over 10 years ago as a project between friends. Anthony, my development partner, passed away in 2015, and the project remained unfinished for years.

Recently, I was sent some of his things found in the attic. Among them was a copy of this game. Upon discovering it was fully playable, I decided to finish it as a tribute to all those hours we spent coding together.

This is for you, mate.
