You play as a Tidewalker. You do not know why you are here, but you do know one thing: you are having a killer headache visions! Yes, visions of other Tidewalkers, the paths they took, the choices they made, and the consequences they left behind. The main mechanic of this game is that you are 'following' another Tidewalker. Their choices influence your version of the world in small but noticeable ways. You might find broken bridges, repaired ladders, altered machinery, changed enemy patrols, or shared storage boxes where players can leave or take addicting drugs and resources. Their actions can open up new options for your own adventure, or do the opposite, and in turn, your own decisions will affect the world of whatever poor soul decides to follow you next.

One example: the Tidewalker I followed had angered the Marauders, which meant there were more guards in my run. I got caught because of that, and that now affects the next player following me, because the Marauders believed they did not need as many guards anymore. That is the part of the mechanic I find most interesting: your choices do not just end with you. They drift forward into someone else's version of Elynd. It is important to note that despite you are 'following' another tidewalker steps, you remain the main character in your own story. Their choices do not influence how you want to play. And, the biggest choices, such as whether to save or kill an important NPC, always remain your own. You can see what the Tidewalker before you did, usually through glitchy visions or echoes, but their major decisions do NOT pass over to your own game. It feels more like their journey leaves ripples in your world, rather than taking control away from you.

Sooo, as a Tidewalker, your goal is basically to figure out why you are here and whether this floating plastic nightmare can still be saved before everyone becomes decorative garden furniture. You travel between bravely derpy named settlements such as Scrap Harbour, Marketland and Pleasureland. Always following the echoes of the Tidewalker before you. You deal with three distinct factions who all believe they are the least terrible option to save this beautiful ocean planet. And eventually you'll decide what kind of future nature and humanity deserves.

The music is surprisingly good. Some tracks really stand out, especially 'Plastic Skin Warm Flesh' by Doodseskader, 'WOLO' by Kokoko! and 'The Prophet' by Lou Corroyer. Each track brings a different style to this strange, messy, floating-apocalypse vibe. Shoutout to these artists! The soundtrack together with the artstyle carried so much of the vibe and made sailing through plastic misery very enjoyable! ♡

A few cracks in the plastic: This ocean world may be drowning in plastic, but its worth noting a few bugs floated to the surface too. I encountered several soft-locks because I jumped into areas I clearly was not supposed to reach, and later one major bug that stopped all progress in the story and I have no idea how I triggered it. Restarting these chapters fixed it for me, however, though was annoying.

Recommended! The story is solid. This adventure has got strange worlds, that sweet sweet plastic we all love and choice mechanics where your bad decisions can wash up in someone elses game later. You like story games, well then, lets snort some Ozen together!

I loved the music, the characters, the easter eggs, and oh my the graphics and the design of this world. It is sooo beatifulll. Some choices were lowkey a bit weird and not as expected, but as a whole the game is funny and a wonderful story to follow with many endings (I believe). You have done a wonderful job DigixArt! I highly recommend you buy and play this game! If you have a bad pc though you may need to lower graphics since it isnt theeee most optimized. Wonderful game, Imma play it the second time now!
