Do the very hard or legendary difficulty achievements work if you swap difficulty mid campaign?

been playing as woodelves.. have massively expanded the realm.. I now have a solid 70 amber to waste and can afford tow aste some of it on armies. so far my army composition has been : for my main 5 armies : 1 Legendary Hero OR glade lord on dragon -> ranged specced 1 spellsinger (life) on eagle 1 waystalker 1 branchwraith 8 Waywatchers 6 Wildwood Rangers 2 SIsters of the Thorn for my backup 2 armies : 1 Glade lord on dragon 2 branchwraith 8 Waywatchers 6 Wildwood Rangers 3 SIsters of the Thorn this has...

Every single save of mine is locked, unable to load, because apparently my DLC simply does not exist. I have tried every single fix I could find, yet I cannot load those saves. Anyone else having this issue? I was able to click "continue" campaign, and while I did still have some flagellants and milita, I can no longer recruit them, the regiment of renown button has vanished, yet von carstein and bretonnia still seem to exist, but... I don't want to continue in this doomed world....
