Just a great overall game if you like the Total War series, even more so if you love the time period. You will not be upset if you buy it.

Ally for 50 turns.
Shared borders peacefully.
Trade agreements.
Next turn: betrayal.

I learned something about life.

I don't think the tutorial has been updated in an era- clicking into the tutorial campaign setting loads me up with the chosokabe, telling me to make a few troops, and then clicking my army into an invisible rebellion *somewhere* (absolutely no idea what I'm doing so far).
I follow along, it gives me two options- autoresolve or play the fight. I haven't played this before, so I think to myself, "sure, I'd like to learn". Immediately tells me about grouping my troops up, tells me to assign them formations (I do). And then I wait... and wait... and finally when I've gotten tired of waiting I click my troops and click them onto the enemy troops.
General immediately falls, all troops lost.
Tutorial fails to acknowledge any of this (thought it'd be a teachable moment- "don't run your troops into arrow fire, do this instead") and goes on to ask me to attack another encampment elsewhere (doesn't tell me where).
Decide I've had enough and uninstall.
Would not play again, look for something with more polish next time.
