I try to get ninjas as soon as possible to assassinate the AI but my ninjas just get taken out. Then Otomo spreads Christianity to all my provinces and they constantly rebel. I can't really afford to build temples everywhere and it takes so long to research everything to be able to build temples, farms, and get my military tech. Shimazu is super annoying to play compared to Date or Chosokabe. Not sure why everyone is obsessed with Shimazu and say they are the best starting faction....

I'm not new to total war games but this one is absolutely kicking my butt. The first thing I struggle with mightily is the speed of units and battles. I'm not that quick with mouse clicks and that and im really not tryna to have a sweat fest over here but holy crap i cant even win a balanced battle on normal without getting completely smeared. I downloaded UEFC and tried playing that but I still suck lmao. Are there any tips you guys have for me especially with battles? I really want to like this game!...

It is what i expected lol. I ve use the +4 armor/10 acc to see if theres any reason to use armor in a setting where almost everyone has a gun. On paper, seems interesting: If using imperial/shog/Bear troops for flavor, +10 seems redundant, and not much a loss to trade for maxing your armor (6 armor). But man... it doesnt matter at all lol. How difficult would it be to code this for future titles? - For example if you always rely on the 'ol pincer attack against a faction, it begins to field with formations featuring a nasty spikey back line. - If you tend to missle spam the AI churns out more cavalry. - If you favour Samurai-heavy infanty blocks, it learns to counter with tarpit ashigaru doom-stacks. etc. etc. This would mean you'd have to vary your tactics throughout a game. More interesting and, I think, more true to life....
