You guys hyped us all about Alex since nearly a whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year, brought Kenny Omega as his mocap, brought Jam Project to create his new theme, have been acting like a tumblrina on Twitter to talk about his tatas and fatass, kept being very much vocal about him (unfortunately not gave the same kind of treatment with Elena, you know, the other SFIII character who made indeed a comeback). For then what? Watering him down as an incesteous groomer...?

I have been an unconditional fan of Alex since my late teens. I was always a huge advocate and defender. I even own several items/merch related of him in my home such as figures, pins, trading cards, framed pictures... My current phone case IS also Alex on it, some kind of collage I've made myself back in 2024. He really was the character that made me convinced to replay this game. I was even known as THE Alex fanartist back when I used to have a Twitter account from 2020 to 2024, having big names in the FGC/Alex Nation giving me recognition of my content.

I was waiting for so long. I got dozen of people texting me about what the ♥♥♥♥ happened and I was in intense denial or thought it was a hoax at first. I was so happy and very euphoric until March 17th 2026.

So, huh. What now? Do I really have to keep my collectibles of a character that represents something that is against my ethics? I don't care if I might sound TMI but: Something that is mainly why I am actually seeking professional help since now 13 years ago? As a grooming + CSA survivor myself? Is this what I have to conclude?

Alex becoming a dad? Ok.
Patricia is pregnant? Sure why not, she is 25 years old in SF6, yeah? I would have been happy for her.

However, the whole combination is NOT OK. Retconning them from adoptive siblings to second cousins is NOT any better because this means they are now blood-related to some degree, literally implying they share the same biological great-grandparents. You guys are depicting Alex and Patricia knew each other since she was A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NEWBORN, even if time prior, we weren't sure that yet, regardless: reminder in SFIII, Patricia was 14 years old while Alex was already pushing 20. In SFV, she was 12 while he was 17.

I was playing the devil's advocate about Alex doing the questionable remarks @ Dhalsim and Elena in SFV and 2nd Impact because in my honest perspective: he was significantly younger and less filtered back then. Which he did canonically decently matured since 3rd Strike.

You could have expanded his lore when it comes to the whereabouts with Gill, Urien, Hugo (why does he has his Final Fight design btw, where is his georgous glow-up from SFIII+SFIV? Especially if timeline wise, SF6 is meant to be 10 years after SFIII) or even Remy in some degree since they had a special dialogue sequence in 3rd Strike as well. What about who was his parents? Why Tom went to see Gill in the first place? Why Urien has a heavy grudge against Tom that he seems to keep secret from Alex? Why the ♥♥♥♥ FANG abducted him in the SFV story mode, what exactly was his goal? And I pressume the scar he got on his face from FANG's experiments is retconned too? For a while I had theory maybe Tom isn't that much of a saint than he seems, but ♥♥♥♥ me I guess.

I don't mind seeing dark topics by itself in fiction, I am myself a huge fan of Resident Evil, Berserk and horror medias in general to give you an idea. I am far from being a "snowflake" or "woke" person, I am myself an actual storywriter alongside being an illustrator, I happen myself to also write about dark/mature themes. Sometimes I even randomly watch some South Park and Family Guy scenes as a guilty pleasure. The problem here is that the topic of incest is depicted as something to be normalized, as something cute, not something that needs to be called out nor done with any satirical execution, and the fact it's not even a villain dragged into this makes it even worse. Have you ever thought of the possibility there is actual victims of such situations in your fanbase? Seeing in their favorite game, a storyline basically saying like "What you went through in your life? Bruh just lock the ♥♥♥♥ in you weakling sensitive prick, look how cute they are!"

That was my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ last straw. Unless any miracles, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done with this series. And you better not add Hugo as a playable character, who happens to be my second main, if it's to pull this crap against our own will.

Dear SF developer team, in the nicest way possible:

Go ♥♥♥♥ Yourself.

Whoever gave me that one laughing smiley as a reward. I don't know what is funny about an actual CSA/grooming victim opening themselves up about how seeing their main, their fave character since childhood/teenage, tainted as a type of individual who somehow ressembles of their past experience. I'm used of my traumas being silenced by people, so your pity do not impact me in the slightest. But I'll just say this:

I genuinely wish you to never experience how it feels to be SA'd/groomed, or witnessing a loved one of yours going through a similar experience. I don't want you this to happen, but if it ever does: we'll see if you'll keep laughing.

SFIII director (especially 3rd Strike one) Hidetoshi Ishizawa, who has retired from Capcom since 2016, caught on the situation on Twitter and basically to make it short he is also NOT condoning on how you have massacred his character. That is NOT something he has ever projected on when it comes to Alex's narrative. INB4 dudebros says otherwise I need to tell you don't rely on Twitter's translation feature who is extremely flawed with asian languages, plus he had to elaborate further how legitmately flabbergasted he was about it.

So basically, if you still believe Alex freaking Patricia is ok or "such a non-issue": you are actually against the man who took part on creating Alex and the specific fighting game series he originally comes from!

The game somehow went from worse to bottom of the barrel slop. I hope the person with the incest kink at capcom gets fired for butchering this update.
