Hello, hello, hello commanders.

We return with a brand-spanking new WARNO - LANDJUT DevBlog, highlighting the latest rounds of updates and improvements finding their way into our upcoming expansion.

WARNO - LANDJUT

While our 3D artists are busy finishing the last batch of new models (see below), we've brought the following changes to the WARNO - LANDJUT’s existing roster of divisions. This is mostly thanks to new discoveries, research, or helpful suggestions from the community and Strike Team. Now, there is much more happening under the hood, but we wanted to highlight the biggest elements in today’s post.

NATO

The Danes
The Danish military was one of the few NATO nations using the Carl Gustav recoilless rifle not only as an anti-tank weapon but also to fire HE rounds. Since the Danish divisions lack a flamethrower or assault gun that deals heavy close-quarters HE damage, this particular detail felt important enough to include in WARNO.

This is why both Danish divisions in WARNO - LANDJUT will receive a new INGENIØRER (CarlG) combat engineers squad, fielding the Gv m/75 (G3 battle rifle), one MG m/62 (MG-3 machine gun) and a Carl Gustav (HE) firing HE rounds.

Furthermore, we are experimenting with applying the Demolition trait not only to the HE-firing Carl Gustav but also the American SMAW, making them much more versatile in urban environments.

6. Panzergrenadier
Two major changes to this West German division:

The first is in the AIR category. We have removed the (over-represented) F-4F fighter, replacing it with the in-theatre Danish F-16A in an air superiority role. This means the Bundeswehr mechanized infantry division can access a unique AIR tab composed of Danish fighters and German Navy ground-support aircraft.
The other change concerns INF. We have removed a select number of PANZERGRENADIER cards and replaced them with more task-oriented fire-teams representing two real-life squads normally split not for administrative reasons, but based on the mission they were supposed to perform. This means two new units will see the light of day in this battlegroup:
- DECKUNGSGRUPPE, or Fire Support Group, which is a 6-strong squad equipped with 2x G3A4, 2x G3A3ZF DMR, and 2x MG-3 to provide, as the name implies, long-range small-arms fire support.
- PZ.VERNICHTUNGSGRUPPE, or Tank Destroyer Group, another 6-strong squad fielding 6x G3A4 and two Panzerfaust 44, perfect for hunting enemy armor.
- Both new squads will come with the IFV trait and the MARDER as a transport, the same as the PZ.GRENADIER squads they replace.
Warsaw Pact

336-ya Otdel’naya Gvardeyskaya Brigada Morskoy Pekhoty
The battlegroup of the Soviet “Black Death” marines received several smaller changes:
- A card of the new RAZV. T-55AMD (with Drozd Active Protection System) has been added to the RECO tab.
- The DESANT. MOR. RAZV. squad has been re-equipped with AS Val, VSS Vintorez, and RPG-16.
- We’ve also added a card of the new anti-tank MOR. OTDELENIE PODERZIKHI squad, fielding the RPG-29. The brigade was being equipped with this updated anti-tank rocket launcher at the tail end of the 1980s.
An additional note: unfortunately, we encountered some issues with the new Soviet naval infantry dialogue and acknowledgements, preventing them from being recorded with the other new voice lines. This means updated Soviet voice lines will be added after WARNO - LANDJUT’s release.

20. Motorisierte-Schützen-Division
Four new units are introduced in this East German division:
- FUNKAUFKLÄRER, a 3-man SIGINT recon team armed with 3x AK and a Strela-2M MANPAD. These recon troops were part of the DHS (Diensthabende System der Luftverteidigung), or Aerial Defense System, the Nationale Volksarmee’s air defense arm. These recon forces were planned for rapid deployment to the frontline to spot and identify incoming enemy targets. And since the East German DHS also had access to a few Mi-24Ds for the same purpose, we combined them into a single package: the FUNKAUFKLÄRER’s transport option will be the new recon/transport Mi-24D DHS.
- VPB, or Volkspolizei-Bereitschaften, were motopolice officers organized along the same lines as MOT.SCHÜTZEN squads, and operating under military command in times of war. In WARNO, they would be a better version of the already present VOPOS, with VPB squads 10-strong, fielding AK, 1x LMG-K, and RPG-7, riding in softskin trucks. They also feature the Security trait (but not Resolute). And since they got access to AGS-17, we've also added a VBP GR.-MG 30mm weapon team, also coming with the Security trait.
Regarding VPB’s inclusion, we’d like to thank our dedicated community member Billy Warren for bringing this East German unit to our attention!

15 Dywizja Zmechanizowana
A small addition to the Polish battlegroup. They will receive a new Su-22M4 [RKT3] variant, armed with 4x new S-25O rockets of a whopping 420mm caliber!

WARNO - LANDJUT

WARNO - LANDJUT will bring 8 new Divisions to WARNO, playable in Skirmish and Multiplayer, with one brand-new nation, Denmark.

ID: Efendi_. In a 10v10 aiport, he stated using 2S7M to shoot at every FOB at NATO side since the start of the game. No recon unit infiltrated, no sight in the replay, some FOBs had no units moving around since it is at the beginning. Can provide the replay if required....

Nemesis #8 - Second Chance - And the Winner is...

It’s good to be back, commanders, especially when bringing the (rather hotly contested) results of the Nemesis #8 - Second Chance!

Without further ado… drum roll maestro please...

And the winner is…

Mind you, as the vote was for a single NATO and Warsaw Pact division, technically, there will be two winners! Which divisions will be featured in Nemesis #8?

NATO
The West German VfgTrpKdo 42.

Warsaw Pact
The Soviet 71-ya Tankovaya Diviziya.

That’s right, this means that Nemesis #8 - Second Chance matches Nemesis #6.3 - School’s Out!.

The full breakdown of the vote:

NATO

The West German VfgTrpKdo 42 surged ahead with 31,68% of the ballot.
Followed closely for a time by the West German 12. Panzerdivision, which ended up capturing 24,99% of the vote.
With third place being taken by the French 27e Division d'infanterie Alpine with 18,26%.
Being chased hot on their heels by the British Support Command with 16,89%.
And the last spot being occupied by Dutch Beveiligende Strijdmacht with only 6,54% of the votes.

Warsaw Pact

The Soviet 71-ya Tankovaya Diviziya captured your imagination with 37,43% of the votes.
Tailed closely by the Polish 5 Podhalańska Brygada WOWew, which managed to gain 29,8% of the ballot.
Third place was taken by the Soviet 34-ya Tankovaya Diviziya division with 13,05%.
With the fourth spot going to the Soviet PTRez with 12,97% of the vote.

Nemesis #8 - Second Chance

That makes it official, Nemesis #8 - Second Chance will consist of NATO’s VfgTrpKdo 42 and Warsaw Pact’s 71-ya Tankovaya Diviziya, both from Nemesis #6.3 - School’s Out!, and both featuring the Instructor-class of units. Read more about the battlegroups by following the link below.

This means Nemesis #8 - Second Chance will feature new NATO units such as HEIMAT-JÄGER (PzF) squads, FACHLEHRERGRUPPE Instructors, the LEOPARD 2A4(B), a few experimental LEOPARD 2A4(D), LEHRLEOPARD 1A3A1 Instructor tanks, anti-air BO-105 BSH-1, SINGIT-capable UH-1D HES helos, with air support being provided by F-4T and F-4E.

On the Warsaw Pact’s side, the Nemesis DLC will contain new units such as
The BTR-50PUM-1 APC, INSTRUKTORY infantry squads (with Instructor trait), heavy BTR-55 APC, a variety of new REZ., or Reserve[/b] units, from infantry to tanks to weapon teams, INSTRUKTORY T-64A, INSTRUKTORY T-72A, and INSTRUKTORY T-72B Obr. 89 tanks, BTS-4A ZU-23-2 and ZIL-135M S-60, and older Su-24 strike aircraft.

WARNO - LANDJUT

We are also working on a new major expansion for WARNO: WARNO - LANDJUT. This expansion will bring 8 new Divisions to WARNO, playable in Skirmish and Multiplayer, with one brand-new nation, Denmark.

Considering the heavy focus on the naval divisions, would it not make sense to include a naval jet fighter? Especially since that would add a bit of diversity to the Soviet planes.

Fixed a crash occurring when calling in reinforcements in all Army General campaigns.
Fixed additional crashes that could happen after several turns in all Army General campaigns.

Code fixes

Improved in-game performance. The previous patch had caused performance drops.
Fixed an issue preventing players from editing their deck in a lobby, caused by the deck not being selected by default.
Fixed a bug in Operations where loading a save would duplicate the player’s deck units.
Fixed Chinese localization text overflowing in the new deck creation screen.
Fixed supply units automatically selling themselves when using the "Autoresale" ROE
Fixed the smoke button behavior when using multi-selection

fun, but unplayable for new players, go play Broken Arrow, they kicked me out of almost every server because i was under lvl 20. like bro, how do you expect me to get better if i can't play against real people?
