On a good day, I would sing my praises about this game. It is objectively good, pure fun and addictive.
Today however, is not a good day. In light of hearing that the game studio behind Balatro (Playstack) is being sold to a notorious megacorp (VantageCo, owned by Integrated Media Company) I cannot in good faith recommend the support of this game. As of right now, the game is still in a playable state- but who knows what could happen after this acquisition, who knows how many microtransations this once quality game could be riddled with. I don't trust this company and neither does a good portion of gamers out there. That being said, I alone can't do ♥♥♥♥ but at the very least I can vocalize and protest, and maybe encourage others to look into the matter and do the same. Playstack should remain independent and not under the control of this corporate scheme.
I do no at this time recommend supporting this game. Please stop the acquisition.

I love this game but the bosses targeting your build every time makes it very frustrating and not fun.
