i rarely ever actually write reviews for games, but i feel like this one is important. I have been playing this game for a really long time, through ups and downs, and many many hours. I am actually kind of sad that this game has gotten so intensely review bombed and it might scare new players away. The thing is that a lot of the negative reviews are not entirely wrong, there was a lot of bad stuff around the game especially as it got revamped to add the 2, a lot of promises were broken, and it really was not in a good state. That said, an overwhelming majority of those bad things that happened and promises broken, were because of poor and evil leadership that no longer works there. Anyone that actually plays and cares about the game can tell you that since the devil himself was fired from his position the game almost instantly started getting better. While I can't fault people that are still salty about the broken promises, it is undeniable that the people that are making the game truly care, and there have been so many quality of life changes, and so many updates that improve the game, and so many steps in the right direction. So many of the negative reviews for this game are because of people that just can't let go of the miserable past that the devil caused, and are unwilling to give the game a second chance because they broke trust with so many people. That is why i make this review, i just hope someone who is considering trying this game out, or even thinking about returning after losing faith years ago. I hope you come across this review and just think about how almost every reason that this game got review bombed since it was released, is because of either the devil himself who has since been fired, promises that were broken many years ago that they have been trying their best to make up for since they were freed from hell, or things like personal preferences or jokes because its just popular to dunk on the game and its reputation, and it can be very daunting for new players given all the characters you can choose and how long people have been playing the game making it hard to learn in the beginning without getting stomped a little bit. Even if you are not looking for a super sweaty comp experience, it is still a wonderful game to just mess around with a couple of friends in, and its got a thing where you can create your own types of game modes so there might be something in there that you really like. Please just try it out for yourself before blindly following the review bombs, it is free after all.
