I wasnt sure to give this a Thumbs up and then list all the terrible issues this game has, or a Thumbs down with the notice above and then list the issues anyway. I could write an essays about all the issues and shortcomings and why this game has nothing to do with the Bioshock games but i just decided not to.

Its simply not worth the time and effort. There are plenty of videos and threads sbout this game on the internet already.

It is a huge disapointment and if you expect a 10/10 game, a masterpiece, Bioshock 3, a game of the decade, a industry changing experience, you will be disappointed too. It is none of that.

- Builds up an interesting world that you want to explore with great graphics, great artstyle, a world you never seen before, a great idea, shows a combination of firearms and "spells" like we used to know from bioshock 1 and 2.

however....

- There is no exploration like in the former games or any game. It is complete linear, complete on rails, complete corridor, complete tunnelsnake from beginning to end.

- The world and story tries to tell you something, does not tell you, because it switches to a complete different topic halfway through, tries to tell another thing, does not tell that other thing, morphs into a MULTI-DIMENSIONAL-TIME-TRAVEL Plot that ends up with an Ouroboros, a loop hole. The entire game becomes one big plothole that continues to fall through ITSELF.

- Turns out that the graphic is 90% a blender, with low details and low object variety, ugly shadows that needs to be turned down to high so you dont puke. Besides that, the visuals are still solid.

- leveldesign is empty huge scaled corridors and arenas that are crafted at amateur niveau, The praised skyline system is there, thats it, its just there. If it was gone, nobody would ask for it.

- Requires a steam-community guide to tweak about 10 things in the config file to get standard-level of gameplay and graphic options working like FOV, shadows, UI scale, colour correction etc.

- >>>THE<<< worst savesystem i have ever encountered. No manual save, no quicksave. Only autosave. You cannot force an autosave tho, so if you need to quit the game for reasons, the game will only tell when your last autosave was and if you really want to quit. You cannot save in that moment, you have to play to the next checkpoint. This is basic gamedesign and the game literally does not have it.

- shooter mechanics are at a base entry level. Enemy design is default as it gets. The "spells" are boring and sometimes pointless to even use. You are limited to TWO weapons out of 14 or so, and half of those weapons are just little alternate versions of the other half of the weapons.

As i said i could write an essay but its not worth. If you really want to see the game for yourself out of curiosity, then go ahead, its worth the play through once. But if you are looking for a good game, then i cannot recommend. Its interesting, but not good.

+++ One positive, despite having THE worst savegame system in history that wont let you save in anyway when you need to... it never crashed and always stayed at maximum FPS. I mean, cool.

I would 100% recommend this game.
