Oh man, it's hard to look at Bioshock: Infinite solely as a game, because it certainly gives out levels of utmost mastercraft when it comes to storytelling and overall gameplay experience. The third installment in the Bioshock universe is certainly something else, not necessarily amazing, but definitely different compared to your generic FPS. The game starts of as a standard get-the-girl-save-the-day type of game where you play as, what we're made to believe, a hardened war veteran, looking to pay off the dept by rescuing a trapped girl. The game sells off like that, but what unwraps later is an expansive multiverse mind-bending experience that might leave you with more questions than answers as you play to the finish line. I gotta be honest, the multiverse experience is not something that I really dig, but within this specific game, it's more than fitting to the narrative, although I didn't not expect the story will go that way as it's something that Bioshock never did previously.
At it's core the game is simple, but later on expands to a very complex depths that might not sit well with everyone.

Gameplay is solid, gun variety is decent and plasmids, or Vigors as they are called here, are very refreshing and unique, arguably the best plasmid selection between all Bioshock games. Even though I got all DLCs, I've decided to skip them since they're not really a continuation of the story, more like something that happened in an alternate reality.

Thing with Bioshock games is, even though they're mostly great, they tend to end up with a sour taste in your mouth, this one is no different. In overall I really liked the game and although the story might not be what everyone will expect coming into this, I'm definitely happy how things in the end played out. For me, it's a masterpiece in storytelling and a great conclusion to the trilogy.
