Strictly from a game design/mechanics standpoint, this game is poorly designed. Combat is rudimentary and uninteresting. Some quests carry over between chapters, but not all that you would expect. If you don't happen to talk to a random NPC in the previous chapter, you cannot complete some quests in the next chapter (although the game won't tell you that). Endless running back and forth across zones simply to tell one NPC what another NPC said. Quests are either at the most superficial level of intrigue or smothered with unnecessary details that lead nowhere. If you want to explore the world of the Witcher, don't play this installment. The gameplay is a roadblock to the lore.

I like the Witcher Saga and this game allows me to live it virtually.
