As a Jojo's game, I would definitely recommend this game. It's good at being a fanservice game, with nearly every major character being playable (including some iconic minor ones) and a good time to just mess around playing your favourite character and beating up other characters. You can even play battles from in the series (like Jonathan vs Dio) and interesting 'bonus' matches of characters that never interacted (like Caesar and Old Joseph)

That's all I can really recommend the game as. As a fighting game, this game has a lot of issues. While I don't play many fighting games, so I can't compare it to any other, there's a lot of problems. Some characters are just completely broken in having long range attacks that can be spammed, while others are stuck with short-range attacks that often won't be able to get close enough to hit any spammy opponents. The inputs also often seem to not respond as I'd hit inputs for more complex attacks and often nothing would happen, though that could be me being unfamiliar with fighting game controls. Still, in single-player, this is all bearable.

The problem comes from the online multiplayer. The servers are atrocious, and lag and disconnects are common, even with decent internet. While the servers are dead, that isn't too surprising given this game is slightly old, but combining it with the servers being difficult to play on makes it difficult to even find a match to complete. A lot of players even seem to weaponise disconnects to avoid getting a loss on their record and disconnect at the last second, with seemingly no penalty other than a possible add to their disconnect counter. Multiplayer is just a horrible time from my experience, and the single-player was a much more enjoyable time.

The achievements are fine. There's definitely a pretty big grind for certain achievements (buying 500 items from the store and 100 online matches) but they're not as ridiculous as other games expect you to do. Some weren't grindy but annoying to get to work (mainly the Rush Mode achievement as you had to rely on enemy AI or another player and timing on an exact move). None are absolutely horrible, but it definitely takes a lot of patience.

So, in total, I'd really only recommend this game if you're a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure unless you're so starved for fighting games that you're desperate for any despite the many issues. It's fun to play with a friend until the server crashes, and fun to get to play your favourite characters, but that's about it. I still enjoyed my time with the game, as a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game, it really was a blast.
