Some Captains just want to watch the sea burn… and for good reason! Get out there and light some enemy ships on fire for a chance to win big in a special giveaway!

How to Enter:

Click the “Participate” button in the linked article: Participate[cpm.wargaming.net]
Fire up the game and earn as many “Set on fire” ribbons as you can playing Tier V–X ships and/or superships in any battle type except Training Battles.

The more ribbons you earn, the better your chances of winning a top prize will be!

10 randomly selected winners will get two containers: 1x Premium Ship VIII container and 1x Steam container
Guaranteed prize: 500 Community Tokens will be granted to each participant who earns at least 5 "Set on fire" ribbons in accordance with the conditions of the event.

Rules:

The superprize winners will be randomly picked from the pool of participating unique users.
Any comments that break the discussion rules may be deleted or excluded.
Results will be announced in this article within 15 days after the event ends. Prizes will be awarded within the week immediately after the announcement of the results.

It is fun at the beginning, but that illusion dies fast. After a few matches, it turns into a boring, frustrating slog. PvP is absolute trash—players just sit behind mountains all game, brainlessly farming damage and spamming torpedoes the second you try to actually play. You can’t even see who’s shooting you half the time because they’re hiding in busted, high-concealment premium ships made for cowards.

And yes, it’s blatantly pay-to-win, like every other greedy free-to-play cash grab. If you don’t open your wallet, you’re just target practice for people who did. I genuinely tried to give it a fair chance because I enjoyed it at first, but the longer you play, the more toxic, repetitive, and pathetic it becomes.

Just like world of tanks, etc... Early on you'll do well, climb up the progress ladder, blah blah. Then after you get to a certain point they (the game) start putting you in matches with ships that way out-class what you have. You get your butt kicked over and over (e.g. literal cannon fodder). The idea is you'll get frustrated and tell yourself if you just get a bit more of this or that (of course of a real price). And that's the hook. You're always chasing the next level or next set of perks, etc. It's all a mind game built around repeated and constant micro-sales base on mind***ing you to keep going. Carrot and stick. Pay you get the carrot (you are actually competitive) or continue for free and get the stick (playing the part of cannon fodder for the paying crowd). Well given the state of the econ around the globe - good luck with that.

F*ck this dev deleted my 10+ year old account because I didn’t catch some email saying I needed to log into the game or my account would be deleted

I can never again log into a game that I spent hours and hours playing with my now dead dad

I will never support this dev ever again and will bad mouth them every chance I get

Matchmaking and new players.

It is silly that warship matchmaking allow pre 100 match players with 60k match players. That tier 5 hard matchmaking rule should at least give a clear warning to new players. 10k+ match players build up a aim memory that is extreme for new players.
