As of writing this I have 257 weapon skins and 76 legendary hunter skins. After counting just those two categories of skins I gave up on counting the skins I have for tools and consumables. I've been playing this game for a long time and its currently the game I have the most hours in on steam. I don't need more skins. Hell I don't need any skins. What I want is new content. Not some gimmick for an event or another scarce weapon, one's found only when in a match, that I can't buy and get a hand wave for balancing because its scarce. I remember the old events where whatever skins you got all looked different and usually a few for the new weapons that came out with the event. Now the event skins are "agnostic" which means its the same the same skins get repeated across several weapons while all the unique skins get added to the premium currency shop. Bugs abound and can take years to get fixed. The MMR system is based on stars. From 1 to 6 with 6 being the highest. I've queued up with a team of 3 to 5 stars and gone up against teams of all 6 stars. My team gets stomped, we lose all our gear, and we would go again hoping not two run into a full stack of 6 stars again. It had its run but now the game has fallen off. If you're coming in fresh to the game you might still have a good time. As for me I'm hanging up my hat and calling it quits.

Extraction shooters just aren't for me and Hunt made that very clear

Every run feels like starting from zero. You die, you lose your guy, you scramble to rebuild a loadout with basically nothing while the next lobby has people running full flaming ammo and maxed gear. I don't know how they got there and I don't feel like finding out

The loop is supposed to create tension but it just creates frustration. No sense of climbing, no feeling that the last match made you any better or stronger. Win or lose I didn't want to queue again and that says everything

If you like that kind of "lose it all and rebuild" loop maybe this is your thing. For me it's just not fun enough to justify the punishment

I love this game.
The matchmaking is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you will be consistent matched against teams of higher rank. Team with a 4 star average (5, 4, 3) going against teams of 6, 5, 5, or 6, 6, 5, or 5, 5, 5..
Crytek desperately needs to fix the matchmaking if they want to be able to hold onto newer players, or people that dont want to deal with the ultra sweaty/toxic af troglodytes.
